KOTO Pop-up in Kyoto, Alongside the Season of Aoi Matsuri

Hello from KOTO Kyoto.

In Kyoto, the Aoi Matsuri will take place on May 15.

It is one of Kyoto’s most historic festivals, with roots dating back to the Heian period.
The city feels especially beautiful at this time of year, filled with a quiet sense of tradition, elegance, and the beauty of ceremonial dress.

In this meaningful season,
we are pleased to share that KOTO’s pop-up has begun at Vermillion station, located in front of Higashi Honganji Temple in Kyoto.

Bringing Japanese Beauty into Everyday Life

KOTO is a brand from Kyoto, created to bring the beauty of traditional Japanese textiles and threads into modern everyday life.

Obi fabrics, chirimen crepe, Japanese colors, and meaningful patterns —
these materials carry a quiet beauty that has been cherished for generations.

At KOTO, we hope to share that beauty in a way that feels natural, elegant, and easy to enjoy today.

A Chance to See KOTO in Person

Through our online shop, we share KOTO’s world through photographs and words.
But when you see the pieces in person, you can feel the texture of the fabric, the depth of the colors, the lightness, and the unique character of each item.

At this pop-up, you can discover KOTO accessories and small items that express the charm of Japanese textiles in a modern way.

With the Atmosphere of Kyoto

The venue, Vermillion station, is a beautiful space located in front of Higashi Honganji Temple.

It is a lovely place to stop by while walking through Kyoto, whether you are visiting the city or enjoying a quiet moment nearby.

We hope you will enjoy the small world of KOTO, together with the seasonal atmosphere of Kyoto.
