The Beauty of Kyoto in Winter

This morning was the coldest of the year, and in some areas, we enjoyed the snowy landscape.

Kyoto, where we are located, is shaped like a basin, so it has a hot summer and a cold winter. Therefore, you can enjoy the scenery of each season.

If you wake up in the morning and it's snowing, this is the place you should go first—the famous Golden Pavilion, Kinkakuji!

This is a scene that I've only seen several times in my life. You can see how the still and clear air results in gorgeous colors. Kinkakuji Temple stands in the fresh snow, where no one has walked yet. It is so beautiful.

So, if you visit Kyoto in wintertime and notice it's been snowing when you wake up, even if you're not sure how things will turn out, take the chance and visit this temple. You will surely be impressed!
