Parasol (Higasa)—HANAKUI BIRD PATTERN—BLUE

¥19,800

Shaped like an umbrella, parasols (higasa) are used to shield the carrier from the sun's harmful UV rays during the summer months. These portable sun shades also serve as stylish accessories that compliment both traditional and contemporary outfits.

Furoshiki is a square cloth used to wrap or carry things. We designed a unique and modern style higasa using beautiful Furoshiki fabric with traditional Japanese motifs. Each is made by craftsmen in Kyoto, Japan.

This one features a Hanakui bird pattern. It is regarded as an auspicious motif that promotes health and longevity. In Japan, the color blue represents coolness and openness.
